Media
Media are outlets that convey messages or information. These can include traditional sources like television, newspaper, and radio; or digital and web outlets such as blogs and social media websites. For managers, the media can be valuable in conveying messages (as in advertising or the distribution of press releases). However, the media can also work in the reverse, as when members of the media interview executives for stories. On both points, being media-savvy is a valuable trait for today’s managers.
